Etsy Shop Opening Soon(Oh, and a rant about Go Daddy)
May 7, 2008 by bwaystack
Thanks to Beth Dunn and the Arts Foundation, and to presenter Jessica Burko, for a great seminar on selling online. I have already set up shop on Etsy.com …though the cupboards are bare at the moment.
Looks like a rainy Mother’s Day weekend won’t be a complete washout as I will use the time to finish stocking the shelves at www.bernadettewaystack.etsy.com (Just warning you, If you click now you won’t be real impressed.)
Meanwhile, I am very grateful also for the kick in the pants to get a blog going (again) as I am locked out of my website until I teach myself the new 4.4.5 version of Website Tonight that Go Daddy has upgraded me to against my will. Anyone else ever use them for a website? I loved it before with the 2.7 version. I built my own customized site a couple of years back. It was pretty polished and professional looking if I do say so myself. I could go in and change and update easily. (I was truly “master of my domain!”) I just recently gutted it and reincarnated it as the site for Inner Pearl Studio when we opened a couple of weeks back. I even forwarded my old busines domain along with several alias domains, like bernadettewaystack.com, successfully. But a few nights back, I found I no longer have the option to go back into the old version to update. I can’t put this blog’s link or the etsy shop one into the website until I figure out this new, not so user friendly version. If I have to make many more NOT toll-free calls to Arizona for tech support, I am seriously thinking of quitting Go Daddy!
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I came across your blog and clicked your store link and you mis-typed the link address, it’s going to http://www.bernadettewaystack.esty.com/ instead of http://www.bernadettewaystack.etsy.com/
Thought I’d point it out since people aren’t getting to your store from that link on this entry. Also, you have very nice artwork
